I was given a 50ml miniature of this on a recent flight and saved it to try neat later. It has clear, thin legs in the glass. The nose offers light ethanol and a floral scent like vanilla or honeysuckle. It tastes similarly sweet and soft, with little body. The finish has notes of grain and sweetgrass, with a fairly long-lasting sweet floral aftertaste. It's clean, without any unpleasant bitter ethanol flavors. It's vodka, essentially a neutral spirit designed to carry other flavors. This Finlandia is acceptable. I've had more interesting potato and rye vodkas, and many, many worse ones, but this barley distillate diluted with spring water is fine. Fine is the descriptor because, well, it's vodka. The 101 proof version would also be fine, perhaps more interesting, but still fine. Alright, I'm finished.

This is a really good Vodka and an excellent deal at $18 in my region. I acquired this to complement my Smirnoff, and I've enjoyed both. Finlandia is very smooth and can be enjoyed straight. However, I recommend chilling the bottle first, as a warm vodka is challenging to sip. This spirit mixes exceptionally well with everything I've tried, including coke, OJ, and in Vesper Martinis, where it's fantastic. I must admit, it's vodka, so it lacks a distinct flavor of its own, which should be considered. I believe this is a very fine Vodka at a superb price, and I intend to keep it stocked. Enjoy.

Normally a whisky drinker, I tried this based on a suggestion for a decent, inexpensive vodka suitable for sipping neat, on the rocks, or in a Moscow Mule. My expectations were met; the alcohol is barely noticeable on the nose. On the palate, it's quite smooth, presenting notes of sweetness and a subtle malty barley character. The finish has a brief bite that quickly fades, yielding to a characteristic warmth in the mouth and throat. It's certainly a great bottle for a winter bonfire, ice fishing, or smaller gatherings.

Finlandia vodka presents an aroma reminiscent of mountain air and vanilla. Its initial taste is sweet, featuring a subtle vanilla note that persists from start to finish. It's not ideal for mixing but rather a vanilla-flavored vodka that's just okay.

My go-to vodka for sipping straight. It starts smooth with a pleasant peppery kick and a slight ethanol finish. While not as neutral as Luksusowa, it offers more complexity. I haven't noticed any bitter or off-notes.

A crisp vodka produced in Finland using barley and pure, unfiltered glacial water. It begins delicately with a hint of barley, develops a creamy body, and concludes with a crisp, balanced finish. March 2018
