Visually, it presented a pleasant amber hue. The aroma was distinctive, disarming with its abundance of rose, floral, and herbal tea scents. All the enjoyment from the nearly perfect nose vanished during what felt like an endless finish. The taste lacked balance, dominated by alcohol and a unique, yet expected, flavor profile from the heavy floral and tea notes. I'd prefer an earl gray or gold. I wouldn't score this a zero. Sadly, this just wasn't to my liking today.

About this bottle
FEW Spirits has partnered with the alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins for this limited edition. The bourbon, a four-year aged straight bourbon from FEW, is diluted to bottling proof (46.5% ABV) using Midnight Rose Black Tea. This tea comes from Madame Zuzu's Emporium, a Highland Park, Illinois tea shop owned by the band's frontman Billy Corgan and his wife, Chloé Mendel Corgan. The release is scheduled for late May 2024 and will be distributed in key markets of the band's 2024 North American tour, as well as through FEW Spirits' online store. The suggested retail price is $50.

Smells like fresh bourbon. Smells like paper and sawdust. Pleasant buttery flavor. Dry finish with a hint of wasabi.
This one offers a distinct flavor profile from the tea barrel. It's quite pleasant and smooth.
