Ezra Brooks Distiller's Collection Barrel 7015865

The color is a brownish gold, with a slight oily film on the glass. The aroma is initially spicy with roasted peanuts, baking spices, charred oak, and just a trace of vanilla. The palate is a little dry and oily, continuing with roasted peanut and spice, balanced by a sweet, creamy fruitiness. Overall, the palate comes together well in a single wave of flavor, maintaining its balance as the whiskey airs and opens up. The finish is moderately short, with the spice and sweetness fading quite rapidly.

Smell: Hints of toffee, vanilla, and brown sugar. Flavor: Lightly sweet. The scents translate to the taste. I detect toffee, vanilla, and brown sugar; it's smooth, followed by a warmth in the chest from the alcohol. OE7 is fantastic, and so is this. Two thumbs up.

Begins with a slight bite, then notes of leather, oak, and a hint of sweetness. The finish is smooth. It's decent, but I've had better for the same cost.

Lots of ethanol on the nose, taste, and finish. It's just not good. Best used in a mixed drink.

Awesome punch, mellow end.
