Expresiones del Corazón Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Añejo (2016 Release)

I really enjoy this tequila. To be clear, I primarily drink whiskey, but this easily bridges the gap. I haven't encountered many Añejos aged in rye barrels. The nose presents a fantastic fusion of sweet and spicy rye whiskey notes with the bright citrus and peppery characteristics of the tequila. It certainly possesses an earthy, nutty quality, and the flavor transforms as I consume it. The texture is rich, velvety, and smooth, with virtually no heat. It's dangerously good. My preferred method of enjoying this is neat over ice.

Excellent tequila with a whisper of BTAC. I didn't detect a clear THH or a noticeable difference from the other varieties, but they are certainly worth the cost.
