Appearance: Bright red, similar to a light red wine. Aroma: Freshly macerated berries. Flavor & Texture: Sweet but surprisingly intense given the moderate alcohol content. It's moderately sweet but definitely not overwhelming. I expected a more pronounced blueberry flavor, but it seemed a bit plain and weak. Perhaps I anticipated greater sweetness, but while enjoyable, it was lacking something. This came from a set of 5 liqueur miniatures purchased at the Ettal Benedictine monastery in Bavaria, and this was the least interesting. Its straightforwardness and lack of artifice make it better than average, but only just. “Above Average”: 80/100 (3 stars)
