An elegant, aged rum made from Panamanian sugarcane and reverse osmosis water. It's a mix of 95% 5-year-old rum and 5% 10-year-old rum, aged in former Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels, then finished in Madeira casks for 4 to 10 months, bottled at 46% ABV. It greets you with smells of molasses, wood, fruits, flowers, nuts, and spices. Its full and complex body offers tastes of orange peel, cinnamon, burnt caramel, and fresh marzipan, leading to a lengthy, dry finish with hints of oak, honey, chocolate, and toasted almonds. I first tried it from a sampler in 2018 and again in 2019! Today, their team gave me a nice surprise call as I finished work! A tale of See, Smell, Taste & Discard. Quick version for anyone?
