The added intensity from the spice is highly appreciated as it adds depth to the whiskey's sweetness. Indeed, it predominantly features sweet and floral characteristics, which is a welcome change. This keeps the experience relatively straightforward yet unique, with a depth of flavor that extends impressively. The finish is moderate, with lingering spice and sweetness as all other elements unfortunately fade too rapidly. The finish is the sole aspect that truly limits this; if only it were slightly longer and more substantial.
