Elephant Strength Gin

This Navy Strength gin, aptly named Elephant Strength Gin, is a fitting title. Their formula incorporates intriguing African components like Baobab, the Buchu plant, Devil's Claw & African Wormwood, and this particular bottling is at 57% ABV. It starts with a fragrant bouquet of sharp citrus and menthol; its complex middle showcases sweet juniper, Baobab plant, Devil's Claw & African Wormwood; culminating in an extended & powerful finish with a touch of black peppercorn. Juniper and mountain pine are prominent on the nose, both with and without tonic. There's perhaps the faintest citrus in the aftertaste. The tonic's sweetness offers a welcome balance to the dry woodiness. It's not unpleasant, but it is disappointingly one-dimensional.

Light juniper flavor, pleasantly sharp when drunk neat, and enjoyable in a gin and tonic.

Good as a Gin Tonic
