Doc Swinson's Alter Ego Single Barrel Select Straight Bourbon Finished in Sherry Casks

Received this as a prize. The sherry influence is subtle enough to let the foundational character shine. Plenty of corn comes through with a touch of rye. The sherry notes only appear on a second pass. It's a rather complex bourbon that continues to offer hints of oak, brown sugars, and whispers of caramel and light toast. I'm glad the sherry is subdued... solely because I had a bad experience with ""Broken Barrel""... Avoid Broken Barrel.
