Dingle Single Malt

This Irish spirit is light in body but rich in flavor, possessing a darker character than more common brands. It has an unusual woody mushroom or beef stock-like taste. The sherry cask imparts a subtle sweetness, less than anticipated. Notes of tannin, dried leaves, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, and pumpernickel contribute to its dark profile. A distinctive whiskey that resides at the opposite end of the Irish Single Malt spectrum.

Initial tastes of sweet fruit and berries give way to hot spice and pepper. Adding two drops of water toned down both elements and revealed some leather and oak flavors.

Aroma of peppercorn and honey. Golden amber color. Viscous, coating the glass with slow-moving legs. Tastes of leather, earth, and bitter fruit, followed by chili spice, then a burning finish.

A sweet, well-rounded aroma. Honey is prominent initially, then it mellows into a salty, briny middle, finishing with a lingering warmth. It evokes the ocean!

Remarkably salty and sweet! Caramel, sweet and spicy herbs (cinnamon, cloves), vanilla, smooth yet potent. A vanilla caramel aftertaste.

A definite cherry aroma, with a palate tasting of milky coffee. Reminds me of a Bakewell tart. A substantial, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, vanilla nose. Sweet orange notes.
