Diamond state straight bourbon

Just a standard young bourbon. It's 88 proof and was aged for 2 years. I'm unsure of its cost since it was a gift, but I'd expect it to be in the $25-$35 range. I revisited this three weeks after my initial tasting. It didn't get better with air; it might have even deteriorated.

The nose is full of nutmeg. The palate features caramel, vanilla, wood, spice, and herbs. It's a bit hot, but not excessively so.
