Event from 2020. Okay, I did a quick calculation based on the guide provided for the event, and for the cost of $90 USD, I got to sample nearly $9000 USD worth of spirits, not even including all the excellent items that weren't available for purchase like distillery new makes... now that's excellent value for money! However, it's not just about the value; for me, it's about discovering distinctive, uncommon things that impress me. Now, while this didn't blow me away, it was certainly unusual... rum aged in former Port Ellen Barrels... seriously! Apparently, they managed to acquire a quantity and aged rum in them... I never found out their cost or even how they had the connections. Anyway, it was a lighter, slightly sweet rum with a Port Ellen-style peat flavor overlaid. Interesting in concept, but not all that impressive, just different.
