DeLeón Añejo Tequila is produced using blue Weber agave plants, aged six to eight years, harvested from the Los Altos region of Jalisco. It matures for over a year in both American oak and former French Sauternes oak casks. This tequila is part of DeLeón's "Ultra-Premium" range, which also includes blanco and reposado expressions. Sean "Diddy" Combs and Diageo jointly own the brand.

For those who prefer traditional tequila, Deleon anejo drifts significantly from its agave origins. The influence of French Sauternes is evident, offering scents of preserved fruits, molasses, vanilla, almond, and cocoa. The palate highlights prominent notes of vanilla, honeysuckle, and chocolate, with subtle hints of oak, almond, and spice.
Tasted the DeLeon Platinum. It has floral, sweet, and vanilla notes. The aroma is beautifully floral with nice agave and no spice. The palate is sweet and smooth with pleasant floral and jasmine. The finish is smooth and quick. Overall, it's a delicious tequila that is well-balanced and smooth. It's a nice sipper that improves with a couple of ice cubes.
Pleasant taste and fairly smooth... not as delightful as other añejos I've tried.
A bit too much like bourbon, but considerably smoother.
