Initially, a strong alcohol aroma. If allowed to breathe for a while, a pleasant caramel scent emerges. The taste is caramel, a touch of wood, not very intense, and quite alcoholic. It warms you up considerably when swallowed. It's best suited for cocktails; it's too alcoholic for sipping neat.
