Vance Peterson 3.8

Nose: Strong and fruity. Figs and jam are prominent with subtle hints of vanilla and a background woodiness. Palate: Rich dark baking chocolate leads, with considerable warmth that borders on harsh. Dark fruit and oak provide balance. Finish: Long and consistent but not complex. Rich chocolate and jam. It's quite enjoyable, and the intense chocolate flavor is neat, but $140 for a 500 ml bottle seems high. Based on the small sample size, it's hard for an amateur like me to say more. I'd be happy to try it again. 10 ml Sample From a whisky tasting event.
