Crystal Head Vodka

As someone who usually drinks whiskey, I was genuinely surprised by how enjoyable this vodka is. I'd consider it for sipping neat or for cocktails where vodka is the star; using it for a screwdriver or similar would be a waste. While its price point (around $50) is higher than I'd typically spend on vodka, I will likely purchase it again at some point.

This is one of the purest Vodkas available, at least in Norway. It has very little to no flavor; I've gone through 6 bottles, with only 1 left. This Vodka is meant for sipping, not mixing; I only drink it straight from the freezer, either as shots or in a whisky glass. Most of my friends who dislike vodka change their minds after tasting this.

A special occasion vodka from Newfoundland, Canada, with notes of peach and cream derived from corn. It was distilled four times and filtered seven times, including three passes through semi-precious Herkimer diamonds, resulting in a complex finish. Bottled December 2009 / October 2015 / July 2017 / December 2019.

It's light and clean with a subtle creamy texture and a hint of floral notes. It's a bit smoother than Grey Goose and has more character. Costs $60 in Ontario. The distiller omits that Dan Aykroyd co-founded the brand with artist John Alexander.

A well-rounded vodka, surprisingly good for a Canadian product. It's smooth and drinkable, but truthfully, the bottle itself commands a premium price. If you haven't tasted it or don't have it at home, get a bottle and treat it as a curiosity.

The aroma is very pure, but truly lacks depth, with notes of corn, water, neutral spirit, and a whisper of lime zest. It has a moderately sweet and fruity taste. The nose is quite neutral, yet the palate offers more character.
