Nose: Honey and wheat bread. Taste: Vanilla, a smooth feel, and vegetal notes. Aftertaste: Brief, with notes of baking spices. From Gulf Coast Distillers/Giant Texas Whiskey, this Wheated Bourbon is 92 proof and four years old. The grain bill consists of 75% Corn/21% Wheat/4% Malted Barley. It's quite similar to an older batch of Crowded Barrel's Sloppy Poncho. While the extended aging is beneficial overall, this bourbon still seems immature and lacking in substance.
