Magnolia Medley 4.3

I acquired this bottle during a trip to Chicago. I opened it yesterday morning after starting my day with a Lagavulin 25-year-old; this was my 'second breakfast,' ha. Nose - An overwhelming, sweet cloud of excellence emanates from this. Sweet candied fruits, vanilla, it's like a red fruit roll-up combined with complex sugary oak. It's truly amazing. Taste - The initial taste is sweet, fruity, mellow, with baking spices, some nutmeg, and tannin. It's complex but not overly so. The upfront taste isn't stunning, but then comes the finish. Oh, what a finish, and it's a LONG one. The finish begins with an alcohol surge that leads to Tootsie Roll chocolates, with a lingering spice and heat that endures. There's also a savory quality, but it's enveloped by sweetness. Overall, it's quite epic. This Craigellachie is much cleaner and more subtle compared to their more sulfurous 23-year-old. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful whisky. To make it even better, it's an incredible deal at $200. This is a Craigellachie for those who are indifferent to the brand but appreciate a rich, complex, sweet dram balanced with unique complexity and one of the longest finishes you'll experience. Scoring 4.25... yes, it's THAT incredibly good!

Sonny Locklear 5.0

This spirit is amazing, with notes of dark chocolate, white chocolate, raisins, toffee, vanilla, nuts, pepper, and aged oak.

Bradley Mcclendon 4.3

A potent sweet aroma of maple. It begins sweet but not excessively so. Chocolate and vanilla flavors are followed by a pleasant oak and nutty profile. The finish is a bit intense due to the higher proof but is well-balanced with just enough sweetness. Overall, a pleasingly complex range of flavors. A worthwhile experience.

Milton Wilkerson 4.8

Rich and savory, with abundant nuts and raisins on the palate, and burnt toffee on the nose. Despite being over 100 proof, it's not particularly harsh and sips very smoothly.
