Full Disclosure: I had to research what Merced Rye was. It turns out to be an excellent concept. The initial aroma presents fresh fields, followed by strong vanilla, caramel, and fudge. Take a few moments to inhale this one deeply. There are layers to discover, and if you enjoy sweets, they continuously emerge. That sweet aroma is accompanied by mild warmth, which then envelops your entire mouth. This offers a complete experience from start to finish. Dried nuts and a distinct almond profile bid farewell as you wait between sips. One should admire a fine whiskey that can maintain that perfect balance of lingering on the palate, particularly when the notes are clearly defined at every preceding stage. About this bottle
The Souza family's pursuit of a nitrogen-fixing crop for their sweet potato farm led to the creation of Corbin Cash Merced Rye Whiskey. This rye, used exclusively for the whiskey, also serves to fertilize the soil between harvests. The entire process, from cultivation and harvesting to fermentation and distillation, occurs on the Souza family's farm. Following nearly four years of maturation in Missouri white oak barrels with a custom char, the whiskey is bottled at 45% ABV. Currently, its distribution appears confined to California.

Acquire a bottle at once. This exceptional rye whiskey reveals multiple dimensions with every taste. The aroma offers berries and pepper. The first taste is clean and sweet, immediately followed by a perfect rye warmth. Inhaling after sipping releases a clean finish with delightful floral notes and grass. Absolutely fantastic!!
The spiciness is intense. I'll need to try it again in two weeks to see if it mellows out.
This is definitely my preferred rye; I purchase it whenever I can find it.
The conclusion isn't to my liking.
Pleasant spice and a nice finish.
