An elegant Brandy from Comte de Lauvia in Armagnac, France, made with a blend of Ugni Blanc, Baco Blanc & Folle Blanche, double matured in local black oak casks, first in new wood for several months, then in 2nd or 3rd fill casks for about 2 years. After that, they are moved to older casks. It has an aromatic start with notes of chocolate & Mississippi mud pie, zesty marmalade. Fig rolls, vanilla custard, hints of menthol & cigar box; while a rich & complex middle adds notes of butterscotch, toffee, nutty & slightly mushroomy rancio; leading to a warm & earthy finish of moderate length with notes of mixed peels, orange oil & a hint of hazelnut.
