Company Distilling Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Maple Wood

A substantial, Straight Wheated Bourbon Whiskey from Company Distilling in Tennessee, made with both column and pot stills. It was aged in oak, then finished with maple wood before bottling at 90 proof. The aroma opens with notes of grain, wood, and spices. The rich and full body introduces flavors of green apple, caramel, and maple, leading to a moderately long finish with hints of oak char and cinnamon. February 2023

Not particularly remarkable. It goes down smoothly without a buttery texture. The burn is pleasant, but the flavor is just standard.

Excellent quality for a small-batch product, packed with flavor and easy on the palate.

Sweet notes of maple and bourbon.
