Collective arts Rhubarb & Hibiscus

Have you ever sampled an infused gin? My experiences with Collective Arts gins have been varied: one was a hit, another a miss. I admire many aspects of the company, especially their practice of showcasing emerging visual artists on their bottles and cans! The next one to try is Collective Arts Rhubarb & Hibiscus gin (series 2, bottle 14,131). This gin presents a lightly floral aroma with rhubarb (as expected) and bright citrus. It makes me want to grab my beach gear! My sips reveal a pleasant blend of mild fruit sweetness, herbal notes, and a slight tartness. The finish settles into earthy ginger with a hint of orange peel. It almost tastes like a complete cocktail in a spirit. I would happily drink this on the rocks or with a bit of extra citrus and soda to liven up the finish. While there's some juniper present, I'd suggest non-gin drinkers seeking something light and refreshing to try these infused gins. 8/10

New to Gin.... The aroma of this Gin is fantastic... So much citrus flavor that easily transfers to the palate. There's that characteristic Gin, almost chemical taste, but the citrus is so good, it reminds me a little of 7up. Initially, I tried this neat and it caught my attention. I added a splash of water to mellow the alcohol slightly, which also reduced the tartness a bit, but the citrus flavor and aroma still shine through. This is a very good Gin.

Achieves a really pleasant harmony between the rhubarb and hibiscus flavors. Excellent in a mixed drink and/or by itself!

It's acceptable, a little unusual but a solid botanical spirit.
