As an admirer of one of this brand's other gins (Plum & Blackthorn), I was eager to explore more from their selection. Series #2 of their Artisinal Dry gin showcases elegantly surrealist black and white artwork on the bottle, which appeals to my artistic sensibilities. The gin offers a tropical fruit and botanical aroma, and when tasted neat, it has a rather intense burn. I described it as a "flavor explosion," but it felt abrupt and unbalanced. This gin contains numerous strong flavors vying for attention (including lime – intended pun!), but it didn't come across as harmonious. The finish is fairly short, dry, and peppery. Adding ice mellows it slightly, but I truly believe this gin would be best served with soda. A rating of 6.5/10.
