Strong alcohol taste but flavor tones come through well regardless. Tried straight and with water. This one needs some ice and water to bring the alcohol taste down and release more flavor notes than my other brands. I'd say 20% dilution at least. But really good. Not enough to justify the price. I prefer their next lower category, save 18 bucks and difference is minimal.

I tasted this at an event and really liked it. It had typical bourbon characteristics, a balanced body, and less harshness. I want to get my own bottle for a full review.
The aroma is caramel, nutty, with abundant cherry and leather. The taste is oaky, caramel, bitter, slightly chalky, with cherry. The finish is bitter and just faintly fruity.
Abundant vanilla and caramel notes. A solid choice for sipping. The 100 proof pairs wonderfully with an ice cube. This was received as a gift as part of a family whiskey club.
It's sweet with vanilla and notes of oak and black pepper. The finish is a little brief, but it's a good sipper overall.
I absolutely love it. I bought a barrel pick at my local store and found it a delightful drinking experience.
