Cliff Falls Kentucky Straight Bourbon

An elegant, High Rye Sour Mash Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Owensboro Distilling Company in Kentucky, crafted with local ingredients and pure Kentucky water. The mash bill is 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. It was aged for 4 years in American white oak barrels before being bottled at 45% ABV. It has an aromatic beginning with notes of fruit, grain, wood, herbs, and spices. Its rich and spicy character adds notes of grilled orange, coriander, mint chocolate, vanilla custard, and caramel, leading to a balanced medium-length finish with notes of barley, pepper, and oak. A decent bourbon that improves after some air. It has a classic pleasant profile (vanilla, butterscotch, some nuts) but is a little harsh at the end. Good for the price.

Quite good for the price. I'd buy it again for a big gathering or a poker night.

Similar to Green River but aged one year less.

Acceptable, but not exceptional.

Sweet notes of caramel and char.
