Smooth, with noticeable cognac notes, but not ideal for a G&T. Still, it's pleasant.

About this bottle
Citadelle was an early pioneer in barrel-aging its flame-distilled gins, beginning around 2008. Initially, only the classic recipe was aged, but the practice now includes additional botanicals, most notably genepi, a plant from the artemisia family found in high alpine regions, which imparts a subtle fennel note. A recent development is the implementation of a solera system to ensure consistent barrel aging, incorporating toasted American oak barrels alongside the existing Cognac casks. This solera-aged product will now replace all previous Vintage bottlings as the standard.
