Cinzano Bianco Vermouth

This bianco vermouth is an easily accessible and inexpensive choice that works for most standard cocktails. It's not ideal for sipping straight, but it's functional. It has spice, honey, and elderflower on the nose. I anticipated sweetness, but it was quite balanced, definitely syrupy, with just a hint of bitterness, plus vanilla and citrus. The finish is smooth, with more elderflower and some sweetness. For sipping neat, Cocchi Americano Bianco might be a better option, but this one performs well in mixed drinks and is very affordable.

I purchased a bottle of this two weeks ago and have made several drinks with it and enjoyed several small glasses on its own. Overall, it's different; it's not as sweet as I expected, but it is sweeter than several sweet wines I've had. It does make a good Wet Martini, but the Gin is very important because if it doesn't have strong citrus notes, the flavor is somewhat off. I have cooked with it, and it adds great flavors to pork and chicken dishes. Cinzano Bianco is very inexpensive, and I will try it again this summer with warm-weather drinks, but for now, it's just nice and not something I would use regularly. Enjoy.

It has a very sweet aroma, but it's not sweet to taste. There's a bitterness similar to clove, though overall it's quite mild. It's not excessively herbal or citrusy.

Simply vermouth, and that sums it up. Don't anticipate anything beyond that.
