Remarkable. This might be the finest outcome I've ever experienced from a barrel finish. The wine barrels imparted seriously rich, potent raisin and fruit flavors that perfectly complement the bourbon. It's not overly intricate, but it is exceptionally delicious.
An explosion of raisin! Nose: raisin! Mouth: raisin! Finish: raisin! An incredible pour! I would rate it 5 stars, but I can't give a finished bourbon a perfect score. Another fantastic offering from Chattanooga
The way these two casks blend with the whiskey is simply amazing. Great nose, great palate, great price. For $75, don't pass on batch 27 if you see it.
