Let it rest for about five minutes. It has a very deep ocher or copper-burgundy color. Swirling creates walls instead of legs, indicating average alcohol content. The aroma is of pungent apple, pears, and grapes/grapefruit, like a fruit basket with significant barrel influence. The taste starts with intense Robitussin, a bit of heat, unripe grapes, and melted butter at the end. The taste lingers longer than desired, with an off-putting medicinal twang; I will pass on another serving. I didn't remember this one for a reason. The nose is appealing, but the taste is not.
