Canadian Mist Black Diamond

This whiskey presents a pale copper hue with thick, watery legs. On the nose, caramel and maple are prominent, complemented by notes of baking spices, buttered toast, marshmallow, corn chips, and a touch of chemical dryness. The palate offers an oily texture, featuring flavors of vanilla, gentle spice, rich maple syrup, and a grainy character. The finish is moderately hot and persistent. In my view, this bottling surpasses the original, yet it still falls short of being exceptional. It could work in a rye-based cocktail, but I would opt for a different choice first. Cheers!
