The aroma is rather fruity, perhaps pear and wheat. The taste certainly presents abundant floral elements like wheat and licorice. It's not especially smooth. The finish brings honey, yet also a slight bitterness, akin to overly steeped tea with honey. The finish lasts a moderate amount of time.

Wheat and barley are the stars here; I prefer it to the Bywater Four Grain. It has spice and tannins, with an interesting, almost bitter flavor. Great character, substantial body, well done.
