This is a good, high-proof bourbon that deserves a spot on the shelf. I was impressed by the cherry-forward profile and a surprisingly mellow bite for its proof. Some may find a good but less complex bourbon a struggle, but I find it a satisfying drink. A solid value for $50 or less.

Aroma Light vanilla and caramel with definite high proof alcohol. Taste. Nutty with a smooth transition to vanilla, a nice ending, warm with a Kentucky hug.
A bit fiery, but that's to be expected given the alcohol content. Not very complex, but features wood notes and a pleasant caramel sweetness throughout.
A spicy kick at the start, followed by a subtle caramel taste.
For under $50, it's difficult to find better.
