Buffalo Trace (SBS Loch & K(e)y Vanilla Six)

The aroma is subtle but begins with charred oak, vanilla, fruity rye spice, and a bit of citrus. Sweeter notes of brown sugar in molasses are faint in the background, but undeniably present. This comes across as very cake-like and very inviting to take a sip. The palate is gentle, smooth, and like a cloud of flavor. You are met with charred oak, sweet vanilla, and floral rye spice. It is very easy to drink, incorporating all the typical Buffalo Trace characteristics but with a slightly greater emphasis on the vanilla. The finish is unexpectedly long with a tingling pepperiness, as charred oak slowly fades.
