Broken Top Bourbon

Upon first taste, a bit of warmth, yet still smooth. The aroma brings hints of sweet brown sugar, green apple, and mild malt. On the palate, there's a slight burn initially, but it's quite warming and silky on the tongue. Very sugary taste - like candy corn and butterscotch, with a medium finish that lingers on the sides of the mouth, possibly with a touch of licorice in the aftertaste. This is certainly a whiskey meant for sipping.

Ever since finding the (now closed) Cascade Spirits shop in the mall, I have purchased every variety of the Broken Top line. Even this basic bottle is worth getting if the more exclusive, often limited, versions are too expensive for some. Recommended.

This bourbon is fantastic! Subtle caramel notes contribute to a sweet, easy-drinking profile.

Aroma: sweet scent. Taste: honey, smooth, light, with a very gradual finish.

Herbal notes are most prominent, with a dry finish and a little warmth.

Noticeably more corn-forward than other varieties.
