From barrel #0182, bottled at 100 proof. Aroma: Cherry, banana bread (featuring overripe banana and walnut), and oak. Taste: A substantial and rich mouthfeel with prominent oak, medicinal cherry, honey, baking spices, black pepper, and distinct chocolate. Finish: Caramel, chocolate, and more pronounced spice and pepper. Overall: As a local, I'm quite fond of this. The thick, chewy texture is superb. This particular barrel strongly emphasizes dark and spicy characteristics. If you're in the area, give it a try.

Dark golden with a hint of red. Nice slow legs with sticky curtains. Molasses, corn, deep barrel char and black cherry. Tons of corn and barrel contribution from start to finish. A dry cornflake sense. Lots of sweetness sticks around with some chocolatey notes and plenty of oak. If anything, it lacks nuance and smooth transitions between the flavors... But it's all there. This really is very good for a first release. Lacks nuance and smooth transitions between phases, but it's delicious.
As a local resident and regular at Winston's whiskey establishments, this is a source of considerable pride. Predominantly woody with notes of caramel, vanilla, berries, peach, and banana. It evokes quality American single malts like Balcones combined with classic bourbon. Sweet, woody, and absolutely fantastic.
