The only spiced rum I've found that is decent for sipping, not just mixing. Pleasant balance of coffee and vanilla flavors with just a hint of oak, cloves, sweetness from molasses, and something earthy I haven't identified yet. Definitely different from the vanilla and cherry notes of most spiced rums. The aftertaste is a bit underwhelming... not much ethanol bite. I'll purchase it again when I see it. I'm curious about what cocktails I could improve with it. Excellent with Coca-Cola, and it certainly makes various Mai Tais better (used as the top float rum in a Royal Hawaiian... would be better if it had a higher proof... more ethanol bite).

I've yet to encounter a Brinleys product I didn't enjoy. Their vanilla and coffee rums are some of the finest I've ever tasted, and this is no different. It's excellent neat, with soda, or in a piña colada. If you spot it, grab a bottle, as it's difficult to find in the US.
Could be a sipper. Better than typical spiced rums like Sailors and Captains.
