It began rather uninspired, mostly tame vanilla & toffee, but developed to include this unripe fruit characteristic. This carried over to the palate; the initial sips seemed a bit dull, but as it sat in my mouth, it became slightly more complex, developing an odd unripe fruit acidity that wasn't unpleasant but was somewhat distracting. The finish is quite short, and you quickly forget the experience.
