I discovered Boru in college after a vodka exploration trip to Russia where I gained a basic understanding of good versus bad vodka. I found this vodka again recently, and it remains a very mellow and unremarkable vodka. Compared to the extremely cheap options and the overpriced/overhyped/heavily marketed brands, Boru offers genuine great value as a very good mixing vodka.

About this bottle
Boru Vodka is named in honor of Brian Boru, who became Ireland's High King in 1002 and is famously remembered for the 1014 Battle of Clontarf, where he defeated the Vikings but perished.
