It evokes amaretto, but without the caramel notes or pronounced sweetness. The corn spirit character of brandy is subtle, unless you take a large sip, which I personally appreciate. It's quite light and, despite the alcohol warmth, feels somewhat invigorating. I'm eager to experiment with it in mixed drinks, but neat, it's quite satisfactory.
