Kim Bryson 4.5

Bluebird Distilling Barrel Proof Four Grain Bourbon Alcohol Content - 112 / 56% Color - Deep Amber Smell - Caramel, oak, corn, leather Taste - Immediately, there's a hot, spicy oak, deep wood, and leather that quickly fades into one of the most intense chocolate flavors I've encountered in a bourbon. The finish is a long, lingering vanilla. Sweetness - Noticeably sweeter than the aroma and initial taste suggest. A delicious and indulgent bourbon. Texture - Medium to slightly above medium body, not overly silky but a nice balance. Not watery or fleeting. Heat - A long, warm sensation in the chest, not overwhelming for the proof and very enjoyable. Rating - 88 / 100 I purchased one 375ml bottle unsure if I'd like this bourbon. After trying it, and given its "extremely limited" status on their website, I bought two more because it's phenomenal. This is an exceptional barrel-proof bourbon – unique, sweet, and easy to drink. It's a dream for those with a sweet tooth, outrageously good, and I'm thrilled about it, even coming from that other PA city starting with a P 👀 If you get the chance to sample this, do it! It's absolutely worth the $40 for the 375ml.

Definitely has a kick and is a bit raw, with a faint sweetness on the finish that combines with a moderately puckering sensation.

Not bad at all; I would definitely try it again.
