About this bottle

Colorado's Black Canyon Distillery offers this sour mash corn whisky, crafted from corn grown just a few miles from the facility. The spirit undergoes maturation for a few months on kiln-dried white oak staves before being proofed and bottled at 50% ABV.

Glenn Boudreaux 4.0

For its cost, this is a very good whiskey. The batches are small, crafted with local Colorado ingredients, and then aged to achieve a beautiful amber hue and a smooth profile with just a hint of burn. Rich caramel notes blend well with the charred oak and a noticeable sweetness, though not as overpowering as one might expect from a corn whiskey. It mixes well but is best appreciated neat or with a few drops of water.

Ugh. That's the most positive thing I can say about this one.
