The spirit displays an amber hue. The nose suggests smoked salted taffy, while the palate is peppery like candied chilies, gradually revealing tart lemons. The finish is a warming black pepper with moderate length. Adding water enhances the nose with more vanilla and caramel, and the palate with lemon and apples, while softening the chili notes. The finish remains a warm black pepper. It's not a bad drink... I hadn't anticipated so many hot, spicy flavors. I still favor an Ardbeg 10 or Bowmore 12.

This is a great value! You can clearly perceive the smoke in both the aroma and taste. It's less smoky and complex than a certain other brand's 10-year expression, but provides 75% of the experience for only 25% of the cost! 😝 I can't identify any other smoky spirit that offers better quality for this price!
Prominent peat on the nose with hints of toffee and spice. A warming, creamy palate. Becomes a bit smoother with added water, revealing more fruit and oak, along with vanilla.
