While the Janneau XO I tasted earlier did make me more amenable to the Armagnac profile, both it and the other XO I had last night solidified my view that younger is superior in the Armagnac realm. This particular one is intriguing, with a very rich brown sugar flavor. It's slightly too mature and astringent, much like other aged Armagnacs I've encountered, but it's still a commendable effort.

The caramel is pleasant, but it feels rather light to me.
