Some days demand vodka. Receiving a sample of this vodka today felt like a cosmic sign to try it. Originating from Alberta, this spirit undergoes five distillations and is crafted from 100% winter wheat. Honestly, I was prepared for an unpleasant nose burn. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary. It presents a very clean aroma with a subtle sweet grain scent. Along with a slight tingly warmth, it has a rich mouthfeel with just a hint of tropical fruit and a savory quality (reminiscent of papaya salad). The finish is medium to long with ethanol and a touch of vanilla. My expectations for this vodka were met, and I was pleasantly surprised. I can imagine this vodka pairing well with soda or in cocktails like a Moscow Mule. It's a respectable choice for its price.
