Nose: The aroma is sweet, with corn and candy corn notes, and a floral bouquet that makes this bourbon very accessible. Taste: The flavor has a slightly more pronounced kick from the higher alcohol content, but it is sweet, with caramel, vanilla, red cherries, and honey on the palate. The finish is fresh and almost minty. Opinion: This is a superb whiskey. It absolutely belongs on your must-try list; I believe it's worth experiencing! If you are in or near Colorado Springs and prefer not to buy a full bottle, visiting the distillery and whiskey house is definitely recommended! (Order the "Tobacco Old Fashioned"!) Enjoy!

Poured neat. The aroma has mesquite BBQ chips, brown sugar, and a hint of orange peel. A small amount of clove is also present. It coats the mouth reasonably well, though it's a bit thin. All the sweetness from the aroma carries through, with the brown sugar note becoming caramelized. Chipped almonds and a generous pinch of baking spice complete the profile nicely. Each sip leaves a slight tingle on the tongue, but the finish is quite brief overall. Leather and sweet oak flavors are the most persistent.
This is my go-to. It lives up to its name. Perhaps influenced by its origin, but I enjoy it. It will always be a staple on my shelf. The price is right. The finish is good. Perfect neat or on ice. Excellent balance.
A bit young with strong corn notes. A sweeter bourbon, but it's pretty good in cocktails and neat. I wouldn't recommend on the rocks, it's a bit too mild for that and gets diluted quickly.
A local favorite that shows potential for an excellent sipping whiskey. It improves with each passing year and batch. I highly recommend seeking it out if it's available to you!
Sweet vanilla and oak notes. Smooth, with some berry fruit flavor. The finish is sweet and slightly spicy.
