Fredrick Wheeler 4.3

This is definitively not an American single malt whiskey, but rather a Kentucky blended whiskey, composed of an 80:20 blend. Bottled in Frankfort, KY (Buffalo Trace). Lacking an age statement, it is presumed to be 4+ years old (referring to the straight whiskey components). Visually, it's a clear gold with thin, consistent alcohol trails. The aroma is characterized by creamy vanilla, very faint charred oak, and general corn spirits. The taste features sugary corn candy, some vanilla, a hint of charred oak, nectar, and grain spirits. The body is medium, and the finish of Ancient Age Preferred is moderately long. RJT

Dewey Wilkerson 2.5

Sweetness like pecan pie, with a touch of... baking spice (I dislike that description, but nothing else comes to mind right now) on the nose. Taste, what taste? Water... Then a finish with a sweet flavor reminiscent of the aroma. Very smooth, and that's the main takeaway.

Brice Vera 3.5

My second experience with this was much better. The first time I had it neat, but this time I tried it over a single ice cube. It started with immediate sweetness and a pleasant aroma. However, it then seemed to dissipate into nothingness, feeling somewhat thin. I made it into an Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic.

I don't understand this. A 10-star rating is good. Why not just offer the regular version and the 10-star? There's no point in selling this. Extremely disappointing.

Kristopher Barajas 3.5

Decent bourbon, excellent for the price. Works well in an Old Fashioned.
