About this bottle

The second iteration of an innovative concept from the Bangalore-based Amrut distillery, Amrut Two Continents is bottled at 50% ABV. This malt, produced in India from Indian barley and aged in refill bourbon casks, experiences its initial years of maturation in India's intense heat. It is then transported to an unspecified European location for further aging. The extreme temperature fluctuations in Bangalore accelerate the oaking process through increased barrel expansion and contraction, a phenomenon known as "barrel breathing."

Maia Tracy 2.3

Unpleasant tart aroma, with an initial taste of sweaty socks. However, the end is a truly delightful, deep flavor of dark and dried fruits.

Merlin Reis 3.8

Silky smooth with a whisper of warmth. Aged for a few years in both India and Scotland. It feels nice on the palate.
