First pour, and my tasting experience isn't great today (I wish I'd known before opening this). Nose - You get that typical Amrut slightly burnt soil and earth with mild peated notes. Juicy, rich fruits, intensely sweet PX, and you all correctly noted the honey flavors. Taste - Oak, baked earth, mild spices, light earthy peat, rich artificial candied fruits, charcoal, honey. A medium-long finish. I'll need to revisit this one and explore it further. Overall, this is simply an amazing example of a PX sherry bomb. The complexity on the finish is off the charts. I must say... 50% ABV feels a bit low for this one. I wish it were full Cask Strength. I rarely find 50% to be light, but here, full Cask Strength would have made it a genuine 5-star whisky.

This brand's 10th anniversary release has high expectations, as it introduced many Indian single malt enthusiasts to the category. Extended aging in PX-Sherry butts for four extra years means it lives up to the hype. The aroma of gingerbread and clove leads to an oily palate featuring ginger spice, orange oil, and preserved Seville orange peel. Its finish is tangy and herbal, with hints of chocolate nibs and coffee. While the high price is a drawback, sharing one of the 1,010 bottles with friends makes the cost worthwhile, especially considering the attractive porcelain vessel.
A beautiful blend of peat, sherry, honey, and tropical fruits. Nose: Orange, honey, smoke, raisins, sultanas, cherries, dates, figs, pineapple, almond, Jaffa Cakes, strawberry, raspberry, mango, passion fruit Palate: Honey, orange, raisin, smoke, date, plum, toffee, milk chocolate, salted caramel, almond Finish: Raisins, banana, honey, sultanas, raspberries, Luxardo cherries Quite different from the standard fusion; I found the regular fusion too smoky previously, though I did try it in my early whisky-drinking days.
