About this bottle

Named for its home region of Amatitán in Jalisco, the origin point for agave distilling, this additive-free tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave. Don Alberto Partida oversees production at Cava de Oro (NOM 1477). The agave is cooked in a mesquite-fired stone oven, processed with a tahona, fermented with ambient yeast and fibers in wooden tanks, and twice distilled in 19th-century copper pot stills. Each batch uses agave from a single estate, which varies per release. It is then aged for 12 months in American oak barrels that previously held red wine from Napa Valley and is bottled at 84 proof.
