Wilbur Nadeau 5.0

An outstanding fusion of peat and sherry. After aging for 12.5 years in Spanish Oak PX Sherry Butts and an additional 2.5 years in a Japanese Konara Cask (similar to Mizunara), this dram offers sweetness, richness, and smoke. It presents notes of raisins, dates, prune juice, dark chocolate, walnuts, hazelnuts, molasses, bacon, sandalwood, salted toffee, cinnamon, pork ribs, chili peppers, mocha, blood oranges, ginger, and hickory barbecue smoke. If tasted blind, I would identify this as a sherry-influenced Octomore due to its profile and similarities to other Octomores I've sampled.
